Unlike a normal hospital, China’s first AI hospital “Agent Hospital” can treat more than 3000 patients daily…
Chinese researchers are marking history by revolutionising conventional health care and taking it up to another level first Artificial Intelligence hospital which will save millions of lives around the globe. This is designed by the researchers of “Tsinghua University” as a virtual facility run by 14 AI doctors and 4 nurses, according to Express Report.
China’s AI hospital is nowadays a hot topic among health and technology enthusiasts. A Chinese researcher introduced this AI hospital to healthcare by showing virtual patients treated by AI doctors. These robotic doctors can autonomously evolve and advance their medical expertise.
Before inaugurating the hospital, all AI doctors and nurses were tested for the US-based Medical License Exams and all the robots scored an amazing 93.8% accuracy rate.
Well, we are talking about technology and robots and only technology can beat technology with new developments.
According to the research team, Agent Hospital can treat up to 10,000 patients in just three days, the same number that can take ages for a human to touch. All doctors, nurses, and patients in the AI hospital are driven and controlled by the Large Language Modem powered by AI intelligent agents that are also capable of self-directed interactions.
The “Agent Hospital” includes various consultants and examination rooms, a perfect set-up to optimise warehouse operations. Another important aim behind this AI project is to provide a virtual risk-free environment for medical students and allow them to propose their advanced medical treatments.
In an interview with Express Report, the main leader of the AI project “Liu Yang” explained the transformative miracles this hospital can make in the healthcare world.
“The concept of “Agent Hospital” where a virtual environment is created for patients, holds significant importance for medical personnel and the general public” cited in an interview of Beijing-Based Global Times Report.
According to team members of this project, “With a vast leveraging depository of medical knowledge, this AI hospital will provide affordable, convenient and premium healthcare solutions for the public. Simultaneously, the advanced technology of this AI hospital can also simulate and predict emergency medical scenarios such as the spread of a deadly virus.
As per reports, the “Agent Hospital” will be open for patients by the end of 2024.
Regardless of its promising aspects, significant challenges remain to tackle, including AI–human collaboration and ensuring strict obedience to national medical rules and regulations.
Tsinghua University’s professor Dr. Dong Jiahong also mentioned that “no doubt, AI can enhance healthcare precision and efficiency to next level by nothing can replace compassion and personalized care provided by real doctors.”
